What does your oven clean service do?
Our oven cleaning service is designed to be affordable service to degrease and clean your oven, cooker, hobs, extractor hood, and/or splashback.
Do you provide cleaning materials and equipment?
Yes, our oven cleaning teams come fully prepared for the job.
How long will the oven clean take?
Usually an oven clean can take anywhere between 1 and 3 hours depending on the type and condition of the oven and any add-ons that need to be cleaned too. Single ovens take on average 1 hour, a standard freestanding cooker or double oven plus hob will take 2 hours, and range cookers and AGAs take up to 3 hours.
What is and is not included in an oven clean?
We can clean all types of oven, racks, cooker, hobs, hoods, and splashbacks depending on what you'd like us to clean. We don't clean oven trays as part of this service.
How long do I have to leave the oven before I can use it?
You can use the oven straight after the clean.
Are there any dangerous fumes or does it smell?
No, we only use non-caustic and non-toxic products during an oven clean, which are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. There are no fumes or odours.
Are there any parts of the oven you do not clean?
We clean the whole oven, what you can see when you look in plus what you can’t see, generally, like the oven roof, behind glass door, and behind liners (which we first remove). We will not do anything which could damage your appliance, if the roof of the oven is covered with an element and it is not possible to get fully behind the element without breaking it, we will not risk causing damage.
Do you clean 'self-cleaning' ovens?
All ovens get greasy, dirty, and need cleaning. We won’t use our cleaning paste on your ‘stay clean' / 'self-cleaning' liners but we will clean them and if they are removable we will remove them and clean behind them.
Do you clean the oven's glass doors?
Yes, we do clean both the inside and outside of the oven doors, including in between the glass panels, unless it is a sealed unit.
Do you clean stainless steel?
Yes, we clean all types of cookers and ovens. With stainless steel appliances we use a polish afterwards to bring it back to its full shine and glory.
Do you protect the floor?
Yes, we put sheets or tarpulin down to protect your floor and to collect any dirt which may fall to the floor in the cleaning process. Our cleaning technicians will also fully clean up after they have finished cleaning.
Does the oven need to be turned on to be cleaned?
Ideally, a fully operating oven is best. Heating the oven prior to use makes the job easier by losing the dirt and grease. However, we can clean the oven when it is cold so we do not need any power to the oven to clean it, which means we can clean it if it is not in the kitchen. However, we will not be able to check if the oven bulb is working or that it is in a working order without power.
Will you need to use my sink?
Ideally, we would have access to hot running water and would be able to use your sink. However, we can use a bucket and would just need access to cold running water.
Do you have any cleaning reviews I can read?
Yes, we are members of Checkatrade where customers can leave honest, independent feedback on our service. You can find cleaning reviews and all our other reviews on our Checkatrade page.
Do I have to pay for parking fees or congestion charges?
This is the only additional charge on top of your oven clean. Our team will always strive to search for free parking or routes around the congestion charge, but where this is possible customers will be asked to cover these costs.
Do I need to be at the property?
As standard we do require for you, or a representative, to be present at the beginning of the clean and at the end of the clean. At the beginning of the clean, this is to greet our cleaners and discuss any parts of the clean. At the end of the clean, this is to check the cleaning service provided, sign off our checklists, and make the balance of the payment. Our team can discuss alternatives to this, if required.
Do you charge VAT?
All prices provided including on our websites, on our estimate system, or by members of our team are excluding VAT, therefore VAT is charged in addition.
